Innovative fabrics and processes
In the ITV weaving pilot plant all known weaving processes are available for research activities: projectile, rapier, air-jet, jacquard, and leno technology. Basic research, application-orientated projects and the solution of urgent practice-related problems resulted in a broad range of know-how and experiences in the area of weaving technology. This also includes sound know-how in periphery fields, such as weaving preparation and dedusting. An essential precondition of high-quality fabrics is the constant development of the weaving process supported by movement, frequency, flow, yarn, and stress analyses. Simulations of the weaving process are also a part of this prerequisite. Results directly flow into the areas of research and company consulting and optimization.
We offer:
- development of innovative fabrics with functional properties (e.g. atmofil® )
- improvement of weaving technology concerning performance of processes and quality of products
- optimization of new weaving technologies (leno and multi-phase weaving technology)
- development of machines and components
- improvement of winding technology for higher unwinding speeds in weaving preparation
- development of measurement and testing equipment and equipment for weaving simulation
- operational analyses for performance optimization in the weaving mill and at weaving preparation.
